For those who don't know the story, I was born on May 24, 1977, the day before the original Star Wars came out. My mother was in the hospital with her new-born son, and my dad took some time out on May 25 to catch Star Wars. The line was around the block, apparently, which I don't believe was typical for theaters in that decade. My father bought tickets for the first show he could get, which was several hours later. Not particularly wanting to wait, he sneaked into the theater and saw the next show that was starting, finding himself a place to stand in the back. After that, it was about time for his show, so he used his ticket for that, and immediately saw it again. I imagine that he returned to the hospital after that.
Anyway, with the modern conveniences of the internet, I have my tickets three weeks in advance, and all that. Nice and simple.
